INFORMATION

The City of Pointe-Claire offers children and teens a wide range of cultural, recreational, sports and paddling camps in a safe and stimulating environment.

SCHEDULE

The 2023 day camps will be held from June 27 to August 25.
Programs are scheduled on a weekly basis. You can choose the dates and camps that are convenient for you.

CAMPS

  • Cultural camps: a stimulating cultural and artistic experience in a fun setting through visual arts, performing arts, music and science.
  • Recreational camps: fun recreational activities organized around a different theme each week.
  • Paddling camps: Introduction to water sports while learning about safety on the water in an environment focused on helping each other out and instilling a sense of community.

ASSOCIATION DES CAMPS DU QUÉBEC (ACQ)

The Association des camps du Québec (ACQ) certification program defines the best practices to ensure the safety and quality of municipal day camp programs by establishing safety, supervision, programming, environment and food requirements.

The City of Pointe-Claire sports and recreational camps received ACQ certification in 2017. This certification must be renewed each year.

The certification process for Pointe-Claire’s cultural and paddling camps will be undertaken shortly.

ACCESSIBILITY

If your child wants to participate in a day camp and has special needs, please contact us so that we can assess the possibility of providing him or her with an accessible, safe and fun environment. If necessary, we will refer you to a community organization for additional support.

In 2016, the City of Pointe-Claire purchased an adapted bicycle to give all children a chance to travel together during Teen Camp activities.

Paddling camps offer a program adapted for people with disabilities.
