THE MUSIC LOVERS’ FOREST

To the rhythm of Ravel’s Bolero, caretakers Zikmu and Hélène, our two heroes, reveal a wonderful place, right before our very eyes: The Music-Lovers’ Forest. Hearing Hélène’s magical incantations — and with some help from her warbling colleague — the forest begins to stir and come alive. The music our two colourful friends create awakens the inhabitants of this wood made of brooms, rubber gloves, and feather dusters. They meet Sergueï the singing cat, Sarabuga the teary-eyed giant, and a friendly little Chipmunk. As they make their way along, the sensitive and curious Zikmu and Hélène discover sounds and instruments of all kinds. Join them in this magical world where reality gives way to imagination!

PILE UP

Pile Up is a playful and enchanting visual universe made up entirely of garbage and obsolete items. The protagonists—two clumsy and endearing raccoons—seem to make their existence around a pile of garbage that they strive to grow, protect and maintain. Curiously, their challenges and successes bring them into contact with other animals, each more fantastic than the last, struggling with the same problems they are!  Moved by the environmental challenges facing their new friends and ready to do whatever it takes to help them; the raccoons rely on the participation of all the children in the room to see their mission through to success!

Ms. Émilie invites your child to take part in an activity that feels good! In a friendly atmosphere, she begins by reading aloud an album that addresses a universal theme.

This is followed by a snack break designed to stretch the body and encourage socialization. Allergy-free snacks provided.

In the second half, it’s up to the kids! They are encouraged to identify and express the emotions that reading has brought out in them.

The meeting ends with a creative activity that allows the more discreet children to express their emotions in ways other than words.

The activity is designed to be intergenerational, as Ms. Émilie is assisted by a kind volunteer grandmother.
