The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that the sports fields and facilities are once again open to the public.

Weather alerts – Cancellation of activities

This morning, Environment Canada announced that a tornado warning was in effect for the Island of Montreal and surrounding areas. This meteorological event, which is accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, could occur in the afternoon or evening.

According to Environment Canada’s recommendations, it is important to comply with the following measures:

Stay indoors ;

If you are in a vehicle, tent, trailer or other shelter, it is very important to take refuge in a building;

If you are caught outside during a tornado, lie down on the ground in a low area and protect your head from potential projectiles.

Due to these weather conditions, all scheduled outdoor activities at the following facilities are cancelled until further notice.

  • Outdoor pools
  • Sports fields and municipal outdoor facilities
  • Stewart Hall Cultural Center
  • All nautical activities
  • All outdoor activities
