Carmelle Pilon is an artist who works and lives in Montreal. Over the past decade, she has developed a protean practice that includes painting, print art and installation. This stopover of her exhibition, Marine Upheavals, expresses her concern towards the environment and showcases the multiple language practice that she exploits. She presents to you several paintings found in the corpus of works created in 2021. Each painting represents both the splendor of the ocean and one of its disturbances, such as; global warming, oil spills, plastic pollution, deadly migrations or impacts on biodiversity.
