The City of Pointe-Claire Mayor, Tim Thomas, and the municipal council members confirmed at yesterday’s council meeting the appointment of Nicole Loiselle as Director of the Planning Department.

Having held the position of Assistant Director since her arrival in May 2020, she was able to demonstrate to the General Manager and the recruitment committee that she was the best candidate for the position of Director.

“Nicole Loiselle has demonstrated her expertise in project and team management, and we are thankful to have someone of her calibre with so much experience in land use planning and development within the Management Team,” indicated General Manager Karina Verdon.

Mrs. Loiselle holds a master’s degree in Urban Analysis and Management, a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and an advanced graduate diploma in Environment and Prevention. She has more than 30 years of professional experience in urban planning, including 14 years as Director General of the Deux-Montagnes regional county municipality. She is in charge of redesigning Pointe-Claire’s planning program and the resulting municipal bylaws, and has been leading the team for the past four years.
