Collection of hazardous household waste
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform citizens that a hazardous household waste (HHW) collection, organized by the Montréal agglomeration, is scheduled on Saturday, September 16, and Sunday, September 17. This waste will be collected in the parking lot behind City Hall (451 Saint-Jean Boulevard) between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Here are some guidelines for participating in the collection:
- Have a proof of residency within the Montréal agglomeration;
- Stay in your vehicle. If you need to provide information to the employees, please do so while remaining in your vehicle;
- Organize your HHW in the trunk of your vehicle, in sealed containers and separated from each other;
- Turn off the car engine and open the trunk so that employees can remove the HHW.
Due to the number of visitors and the length of the waiting line, we may have to limit access before closing time.
Citizens of Pointe-Claire also have access to Montréal agglomeration ecocentres, open all year round, and can bring their HHW there. The nearest ecocentres are located in the boroughs of Saint-Laurent and LaSalle.
