Improvement of Lake Saint-Louis shorelines
To improve the facilities and visibility along the shorelines and to ensure the safety of recreational boaters, the City will improve its interventions along Lake Saint-Louis in the coming weeks.
The work consists of:
- Improving visibility along Lake Saint-Louis, while respecting the surrounding vegetation in order to optimize the view of the water;
- Maintaining shorelines, whether by cutting grass closer to the shore, cleaning up invasive or dying species, or controlling surrounding vegetation to ensure the highest quality of life.
In addition, the City is continuing its efforts to maintain and improve the ecological and environmental quality of its shorelines, and an action plan to this effect has been filed with the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MDDELCC) in order to preserve and maintain the shoreline quality of Lake Saint-Louis.
All these interventions will enhance this privileged access to Lake Saint-Louis, which makes Pointe-Claire a remarkable living environment.
