Update: End of tree reservations for Earth Day
Update: April 25, 2024
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that the period for reserving trees for Earth Day has now ended. We were delighted to see the enthusiasm and commitment of our citizens who took part in this environmental initiative.
Nearly 575 trees of various species were offered free of charge to all Pointe-Claire residents! Despite a large turnout for this annual event, a few trees are still available for distribution. For those who were unable to reserve a tree this year, you are invited to visit the Public Works Yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue) on Saturday, April 27, between 1 and 3 p.m. to receive one of the following species:
- American hophornbeam / Ironwood;
- Swamp white oak;
- White spruce;
- Heritage river birch.
Please note that other tree species may be available at the time of distribution.
We thank you for your participation and look forward to seeing you at the distribution event on Saturday, April 27.

Earth Day 2024: Reserve your tree now!
April 15, 2024
The reservation form is now online to help you choose the tree species you want for your property. You have until Wednesday, April 24, 11:59 p.m. to reserve a tree.
The first 100 people to reserve a tree online will have the chance to win a free rainwater barrel. You can pick up the barrel when you pick up your tree at the Public Works yard on Saturday, April 27.
Additional barrels will be available for sale on site for $41, as well as home composters for $26. Please make sure to bring exact change. Kitchen cones and compost will also be available at no charge.
Citizens will be invited to pick up their tree in person on April 27. To avoid a long waiting line, when making your reservation, please select the time slot during which you will pick up your tree. It is important to respect your time slot, otherwise your reservation will be lost after 1 p.m.
If you have not reserved a tree, you may go to the Public Works yard between 1 and 4 p.m. to purchase a tree or one of the items mentioned above.
We would like to remind you that no objects, materials or matter will be accepted on this day. The next Ecocentre will take place on May 11.
We invite you to take a look at the list of tree species in the “Trees description” section of the Earth Day – Tree Reservation website.
Together for the Earth!
On Saturday, April 20, from 9 to 11 a.m., citizens are invited to take part in Earth Day by cleaning up Terra-Cotta Nature Park. Interested in this environmentally friendly outdoor activity? Join us at the park entrance on Maywood Avenue. Bring your reusable water bottle, a water station will be at your disposal.
