September 14, 10 a.m. – Monarch celebration

The Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, invites citizens to take part in the monarch celebration, which will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Monarch Butterfly Educational Garden, located at the corner of Belmont and Saddlewood avenues, on the municipal lot adjacent to Terra Cotta Park.

“This fun family celebration takes place in a garden that was created specifically to provide a living environment and breeding ground for monarch butterflies while giving citizens the opportunity to learn more about this endangered species,” Mayor Belvedere says.

Several art and educational activities are planned for families, as well as the release of 150 monarchs at 10:30 a.m. Bring your reusable water bottle and your picnic lunch.

In case of rain, please refer to the City website.
