Winter Ice-Breaker – Plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family

The Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, is pleased to invite residents to enjoy the many outdoor activities offered at the Winter Ice-Breaker event, which will take place at Northview Park on Saturday, January 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the evening, there will be a snowshoe hike at Terra-Cotta Natural Park.

“Everyone is invited to take part in this popular annual event that brings together families, friends, and neighbours to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities,” stated Mayor Belvedere.

Participants can enjoy a wide variety of activities for all ages: inflatable games, face painting, dog sled rides, and ice sculptures.

Pre-novice hockey matches will take place throughout the afternoon on the skating rink at the park for hockey enthusiasts and spectators cheering on our young athletes.

Hot chocolate will be served to keep everyone warm, and a food stand will also sell a variety of items on the menu.

The event will continue in the evening with a snowshoe hike at Terra-Cotta Natural Park, hosted by a biologist. The hike will start at the Viburnum entrance at 6:30 p.m. Bring your snowshoes, a flashlight, and a thermos for hot chocolate.
