Call for candidates to sit on the Planning Advisory Committee

The City of Pointe-Claire is currently seeking professional candidates for a two-year mandate on the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), which is responsible for studying urban planning requests.

This committee plays a vital role in the evolution of the city in terms of architecture, planning, land development, and in ensuring compliance with by-laws.

The PAC is a working group that includes residents and City Council members who meet every month to make recommendations about requests related to architecture, the Planning Program, minor variances, zoning, the Site Planning and Architectural Integration Program (SPAIP), and subdivision and construction by-laws.

Candidates must have relevant professional experience in a related field, such as architecture, planning, architectural heritage, and landscaping, and must live in Pointe-Claire. Analytical skills and the ability to express and emphasize opinions related to architecture and planning issues will also be considered assets. Candidates must have an interest in urban planning and the quality of life offered in Pointe-Claire and must be available to visit the projects presented at each meeting.

The deadline for submissions is October 27, 2017. Submissions must include a cover letter, an up-to-date resume, and the candidate’s availabilities, and must be sent by email to candidat_ccu@pointe-claire.ca.
