October 15, 2021 – Provincial government update on COVID-19
Here is an update on recent decisions and actions by the Québec government in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Full capacity in restaurants and bars
Christian Dubé, Minister of Health and Social Services, announced the easing of restrictions for restaurants and bars.
Effective November 1, capacity will no longer be limited and the distance between tables will be reduced to one metre.
If the distance is less, barriers will have to be used. The usual operating hours can also apply.
Group reservations are permitted without limit as to number. However, everyone must be seated and wear a mask when moving around. The table limit of 10 people or three residences must be respected.
“These measures are a bit of a breath of fresh air for Quebecers,” Mr. Dubé said. “ The vaccine passport allows for such flexibility in cases where the risk of transmission is higher. We are moving cautiously towards a return to normality, but caution is necessary.”
