The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, Morris Trudeau, is proud to announce that a national swim competition will be taking place at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre from December 8 to 11.

For four days, nearly 1000 athletes who are among the best swimmers in Canada will face off in various swimming styles and distances in individual and relay races.

“The Pointe-Claire Swim Club will be proudly represented throughout the competition by 170 athletes who invest time and energy to always excel. Residents are invited to come encourage our young athletes representing our City with so much talent,” says the mayor.

The competition begins on Thursday at 5 p.m. The preliminaries are scheduled beginning at 9 a.m. from Friday to Sunday, and the finals will take place the same days beginning at 5 p.m. Admission is free at all times.

“We are very proud of the quality of the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre’s facilities, and their reputation enables us to host national competitions. We also want to acknowledge the efforts of our teams of organizers, devoted volunteers and professionals who make these events possible,” concludes Mayor Trudeau.
