The Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club stands out at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto
The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to highlight the latest achievements of Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club swimming team athletes, who stood out at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto from March 28 to April 2.
Three athletes qualified for the World Aquatics Championships – Fukuoka 2023 team in Japan: Edouard Fullum-Huot, Eric Brown and Patrick Hussey. Their performances broke a total of nine provincial records, making the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club the holder of all the men’s freestyle provincial records (50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500 metres), in addition to all the records in the IM (Individual Medley) and Butterfly.
Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club head coach Martin Gingras also distinguished himself and was selected to coach the World Open Water Swimming Championships that will take place in Japan.
At the event, 26 athletes represented the City and several stood out in the trials.
